Classroom Technology Rules

Classroom Technology Rules

Technology is now a vital aspect in the classroom learning environment. Schools became very dependent on technology by using interactive videos and textbooks, different learning platforms, and websites/apps to instruct classwork and homework. Classroom technology rules will differentiate depending on different classes, but the main objective is to make sure students are learning effectively through technology. Students need to abide by all rules so that the classroom can run smoothly and effectively.

In the classroom, teachers need to make sure that students understand the use of technology such as using it for classwork, studying, and extra practice only. Students do not need to use it for personal usage because it will then become a distraction. Teachers need to monitor students while on devices, so that all students stay on task throughout the day.

Due to COVID-19, technology has played a major role with how students learn and go to class. Students now use technology to login to class and have to be engaged in class through technology. There are many websites such as near-pod, peardeck, quizzes, kahoot, and many more interactive sites to keep students engaged and continuously learning. Within the virtual classroom, there are still important technology rules that students should follow.
